Anyone With a Holt Howard Book?
Question:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=86&item=7319674256 &rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

I bought one of these at auction this weekend thinking it was Shawnee but it's not listed in my Shawnee book.

If it is Holt Howard, can you tell me about it? Thanks!
Answer:
Nope, not me, I've got oodles of books, but no Holt Howard. Sorry. Research online and you may run across verification somewhere.
Answer:
From Holt-Howard Collectibles by Walter Dworkin. 1998
Bird Plant Waterer: "Weekend Willie"
Weekend Willie was probably the very first whimsical ceramic plant-waterer with a head created by any company. Although tube-type plant waterers were in existance 40 years ago, Holt-Howard was the first company to incorporate a ceramic-head that holds water and gradually releases the water through a porous non glazed cone. Just fill Willie's head with water and he'll take care of your plant in your absence. Willie was made in different colors and was promoted and introduced by B. Altman & Co. Willie is 6" long. Value: $25 - $35. The book doesn't give a date for Weekend Willie but it has a Willie Warbler bird call and several other bird items that have a 1958 date.

Answer:
Thanks, Serenity. I had already Googled but was coming up with nothing.
Joan! Thanks so much. This is the first piece of Holt Howard I have ever had to sell so I have never had a need for a HH book before. I have never had any Beswick either but I do have a book for that. Go figure.
