Book value on Holt Howard Pixieware?
Question:
I'm seeing prices all over the map on Holt Howard Jam & Jelly jars. Does anyone have a book price? Thanks. Teri Answer: I think it was Joan who posted from a book she had of Holt Howard. Give her a holler if she doesn't look through here soon. Answer: Teri, Your Jam 'n Jelly was one of the very first pixies created by Holt-Howard. It was mass produced from 1958 through 1962 and as a result, is one of the most commonly found pieces today. The Price Guide to Holt-Howard Collectibles by Walter Dworkin places the market value at $45 - $55. Yours appears to be in excellent condition which is rare. Most have spoons with broken heads that have been reglued so yours should do really well. Joan Answer: Thanks Joan. I think the highest sold on Ebay when I checked was $49. I figured I better check though after seeing these: http://pages.tias.com/110/PictPage/38951.html http://pages.tias.com/9330/PictPage/1922438978.html Two or more times book value - guess they're running museums!
