Question:
I've found in a small "thrift" shop a recumbent German shepherd marked in green in script "Hedwig," with impressed numbers (batch, model # or whatever).
It hasn't a noticeable country name or date or town, but strongly resembles and is about as along as the "Allach" painted/glazed 12-inch long G. shepherd from the 1930s/1940s made near Munich by the Dachau Concentration Camp. Has the strong stylistic "smell" of Germany in those terrible times - but is very well made & lovely in any case.
Can you help with the ID please? the firm's name yields a blank in Google save for one dead ref to "Hedwig dolls." A quick reax especially appreciated!! Good collecting to all.
