Hello to all who are here and may be able to help me- I have aquired a beautiful blue splatter/spone ware serving bowl like item! (arent I the book of information here?) It has some embossed letters and numbers but these old eyes can not make them out- however thiere is an engraved little FISH on the bottom also! Can anyone give me any information about this mark? Thank you very much!

Can you do a pencil rubbing over the entire bottom? Maybe we can make out the embossed writing.

Thank you for your reply- i have been reading more here- you are a world of information! I did try that rubbing- but with no luck they do not appear to be deep enough- but I am going to have my DH try tomorrow- Its a beautiful dish-
