Chinese or Japan Hot Tea Cups?
Question:
Hello, my husband has had 4 of these (for lack of better knowledge) hot tea cups for too long. I'm having a terrible time getting a good photo of the markings on the bottom of the cups (they are symbols rather than text I could write!). I've tried to upload a darkened photo of the symbols in case that helps : - )
Could anyone please help me identify this set? Thank you so much everyone.

Answer:
There are about 4 Japanese links in the Pottery links (in red up there) in this forum.
One is the below ID link. The below one is the best Japanese I've found so far.

Could those cups be Sake cups also?
This link has Sakeware and Teaware. I'm not for sure yours are tea cups.
Answer:
Your cups remind me of a teaset that I have for sale in my mall booth. I have a teapot and 4 matching teacups with lids. I am not sure of the mark on the bottom.

I am having a heck of a time selling it for the $25 I have on it. If someone doesn't buy it soon, I may have to find a place for it here at home....along with all the other stuff.
Answer:
Oh Thank you both so much!
hmmm Saki cups, yes I suppose they could be. I went hunting before without even knowing to google for Chinese or Japanese *blush* sad to say.
LOL AuctionQueen - these are moving OUT even if I have to "donate" them for charity to get a deduction! WAY past time to do our errr older middle age clean out time! Very good luck on yours finding a new home as well :-)
Thanks again,
Deb
