Anyone recognize this name?
Question:
If this link works, it will take you to two photos of a very attractive bowl that I have yet to identify. The workmanship is of high quality and the bowl is signed but I am unable to make out all of the letters. I am posting it here in hope that someone may recognize the style, or be familiar with the potter/pottery. Any information you can provide about the piece will be greatly appreciated. The pictures are number four and five in my unidentified art pottery album.

Answer:
The good news is that the link works. However, I can't help you with the identification. The signature looks to me like it begins Cresy**, but I can't find anything relevant that starts that way.
Kind Regards, Kevin
Answer:
I am in the same boat Kevins in - need a better close up of the signature but not sure that will help.
Cresy or Cresg
could be crestgrove? I did a search for that and got a link to nowhere.
Answer:
I'm sorry to say that is not my lousy photography. The signature itself gets blurred after the first four letters. I believe the sixth letter is an R, and the fifth letter is either F, G, J,P, or Y. That would give me the following combinations:
Cresfr
Cresgr
Cresjr
Crespr
Cresyr
Perhaps one of those will ring a bell with someone.
Paul
