Goebel fish
Question:
I purchased a cute little fish figurine type thing. It has a lid which is the dorsal fin. After some help from this web site I was able to determine that the fish is from W. Goebel. It has both the incised crown mark and the stamped crown mark. It is also stamped with the word Bavaria and a script M. It has inscised letters and numbers on the bottom as follows. DT 2/133.2/0. The fish is cute, it is a pinky mauve color with yellow fins and a yellow face with an irridescent glaze all over it. It also has yellow glass eyes. We bought it at a garage sale to go on my little daughters dresser next to our newly acquired fish. Can anyone help me with a value or date, or even what it is. Is it a trinket box, one of a salt and pepper pot.......? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Joanie Answer: Welcome to here Joanie! You'll likely get more response if you post photos of your fish. Scroll down to the Manage Attachments area (if you can't see it, click Go Advanced) and follow the directions to upload your photos here. Post again if you need more detail.... Elaine Answer: Welcome Joanie! If you do a search on ebay for "Goebel Fish Mustard" and check Completed Auctions you will see three different mustard pots. Are they similar to your little fish? Sounds like a very nice garage sale find! Answer: Here is my cute little fishy. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joan Answer: Hi Joan, welcome to here. I don't know what it's used for or the value but the link below on Goebel marks may help you date it. Goebel marks. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
