here Points - Pottery Quiz - 1/31/05
Question:
Drum Roll Please. Last week's winner = Serenity This week's Pottery Quiz was created by moi and it will probably be the last quiz I create until we get more auction down here. If you would like to create a pottery, porcelain, or ceramic quiz, please PM me with your quiz (with the answers, of course). Or if you have just a few questions & answers, we can compile them to make one quiz. Sometimes, I may edit a bit, but otherwise the quiz will be dedicated to the creator! OK. On to this week's quiz. On the "honor system," the first person to get the highest score in the below Pottery Quiz wins here Points. Post your scores below! Re-takes don't count toward winning here Points. http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeeeajd/o...eramicsquizes/ Contest ends on Feb 4th at 9:00 PM EST. Answers will be posted after the quiz is over. Have fun! Answer: I got 8 out of 10 this time. Guess I'll have to figure out where I went wrong. This one was a lot tougher for me than the previous quiz. Thanks elizdale Answer: wow..9/10...thank moi..that was fun.. Answer: 8/10...and a very interesting quiz! Answer: Bringing up the rear again (important job don't you know)... Six out of Ten, but it is fun to learn. Can't wait for the "key" to the quiz. Thanks, chloe Answer: 6/10 --- achieved by pure guesswork and drawing just from reading here at here. It's really hard to resist hitting my Favorites list and researching to get the answers! Answer: Originally Posted by dove It's really hard to resist hitting my Favorites list and researching to get the answers! Dove, who said you had to resist? I always learn more when I'm researching. You certainly don't believe that I came up with all those Q&A's without researching, do you? Hell, I'd be lucky to get 1/2 of the questions answered correctly. When the quiz is over, there is one question that I think everyone has missed and I'd like to discuss that question. But, I don't want to give that question away until the contest is over; maybe someone will get it correct. Answer: Originally Posted by elizdale who said you had to resist? ...... Elizabeth- What did you mean in the original post about more action? More conversation? More ID threads? I'm not a very good conversationalist, but I sure do have stuff to ID I just hate asking too many questions. I do have an interesting lamp to post about as soon as I can figure out where to post it now with the changes. Answer: We can research as we're taking the quiz??!!?? Woohoo .... open book errr I mean open internet quiz .. oh yeah! I have always enjoyed this forum even though I know so little. Actually I enjoy all the forums (with one exception) and always hate to see them disappear or become dormant. Seriously, I've stepped into other discussion groups and none have every felt like home ... here always feels like home! I'm sure the quizzes take a lot of time and work but I hope they never disappear completely. Answer: Originally Posted by Denise we CAN research BEFORE answering?? With 10,932 Active Members (Total Members 30,954), it's a little discouraging to get less than 1/10th of 1% of the active folks taking the quiz. There's a little message when you click on Score. The message this quiz was "Bring Friend with You." We've never had 10 people take the quizzes since we started posting these. Denise, I'm not much of a conversationalist either on boards, but in RL, I'm too loquacious. I think lamps could go in the forum that the lamp is made of, i.e., glass, pottery, metal, or if all else fails, in the Other Antiques and Collectibles forum. And, yes, you can research!
