Help on Pricing These Cute L'il Enesco Mice?
Question:
I've had this cute little pair of mice for ages, but can't seem to find any other ones like them. They're made by Enesco, with a date of 1983. They're about 3" tall, and made of ceramic or porcelain. I've always positioned them nose-to-nose as if they're kissing (awww), but whether or not they're really supposed to smooching, I dunno. They *may* be from a collection called "Country Calico", but I'm not sure. A search on eBay and a Google search both turned up nothing. I found a few similar ones, but no exact matches. They're probably not worth millions (LOL!) but I don't have a clue what price to start them at. If you have any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks! Answer: If it helps any ... Here's a photo of the bottom of the girl mouse, and an enlarged photo of the markings. The boy mouse doesn't have a mark, but there probably wasn't room on the bottom of his feet to print it. I've been Googling for a couple of hours now, and still haven't found anything. Maybe these mice are so rare and valuable that I can retire! (Yeah, don't I wish!!) Answer: I have a collectibles book but it doesn't have the Enesco items in one category. The Enesco items appear to be under the category, i.e. Precious Moments, etc. so I was unable to locate your cute little couple. ETA: There was not a category for Country Calico. Answer: Is this like yours? http://cgi.ebay.com/ENESCO-PORCELAIN...QQcmdZViewItem If that doesn't work, completed auction # 120005976879 Answer: Thanks! Hazel -- Yep, that's the one I found that's very very similar to mine, as far as the design of the mouse itself. I found some other "Days of the Week" mice, but unfortunately didn't find an exact match. I got these at the hospital gift shop where I used to work on weekends, when I was a teenager. They always had the cutest things! I'd end up spending half my paycheck. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
