Help identifying this BEAUTIFUL vase... McCoy?
Question:
Can anyone help me identify this vase. the person I bought it from thought it might be a McCoy but wasn't sure. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
IMHO it's not McCoy.
First from what I can see of the interior of the piece, it looks to be hand thrown, vs moulded. McCoy's pieces, to the best of my knowlege were all moulded.
2nd, while McCoy did use a glaze similiar to that the shape isn't one of theirs, the collar of the neck is to shallow. In addition, pieces in this shape were most often marked, with the NM (Nelson McCoy) mark.
My McCoy book notes that Brush McCoy did pieces in the same glazes. In general those pieces had numbers stamped on the bottom. Again, Brush pieces were to the best of my knowledge all moulded.
