HI, CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO IDENTIFY A DRESDEN FIGURINE?
I DID THINK IT MAY BE MEISSEN, BUT IM NOT SO SURE

The mark is rather like the late 19th C mark of P Rosenthal & Co of Kronach. but the bottom of the crossed whatever they are would be an R and a P (placed left to right). These look like an M and a B, but the Germany Dresden underneath is exactly the same as the Rosenthal mark. (Just to confuse the issue, Kronach isn't particularly close to Dresden.)

thanks for looking, i wasnt sure if the marks are crossed swords or arrows? at the top of them seems to be an inverted triangle with the m & B at the bottom and there are two vertical lines either side, the writing definatly says germany, then underneath either dresden or dresder with " at the end,
I have seen this mark once before somewhere, just cant remember where though!

Got it! Martha Budich (in business from 1951 to 1977)
"Martha Budich had a porcelain decorating business which used 'blanks' from other companies and decorated them in 'Dresden' style. She had to stop using her first mark after an argument with the K.P.M. in Meißen which ended before court in 1963. She continued using the second mark form until 1977, when Budich retired and the business was closed."
The second mark referred to is quite different, and has her name and Kronach rather than the incorrect Dresden. She obviously pinched the form of her first mark from Rosenthal, but they had taken it from the crossed swords of Meissen in the first place...
