Help Identify Cookie/Biscuit Jar
Question:
I have THREE cookie jar ID books and cannot find this in any of them!

Unmarked, it is 4.25 inches tall and the "chimney" on the back adds an additional 1/2 inch and it is about 5 inches wide. The top is black and the bottom is green and the entire thing has gold accents.

I believe it is too small to be a cookie jar, perhaps more of a biscuit jar. Also, does anyone have a clue on the maker?

Thanks!
Answer:
What's the name, edition and author of your 3 cookie jar books you've looked through? I have four and am too lazy to look through all four, so which one is left for me to look through?
Answer:
Maybe it's not a cookie jar being that size but a canister for tea bags or coffee???
Answer:
I wonder if its a grease jar, part of a range set..? I've seen them as a fridge with matching S&P's.
Answer:
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this. The three books I have looked through are:
The Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars by Fred Roerig and Joyce Herndon, copyright 1991, updated values 1993

An Illustrated Value Guide to Cookie Jars Book II by Ermagene Westfall, copyright 1993, updated values 1997

Collectors Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars Book II by Fred Roerig and Joyce Herndon Roerig, copyright 1994, updated values 1997

Hmmm, could be part of a canister or range set. Would you put grease in a pottery piece?
