cutter chenille question
Question:
Mom's attic also had a "truckload" of old chenille spreads...definately only cutter quality. Looking through sales, it appears that pieces (or small lots of) sell much much better than whole ones. Is it to save weight on shipping while only getting the prime parts?? Sure seems like a few minutes with the scissors might be rather lucrative if that's so. Or do I have it wrong? (I do see that useable pattern may also have something to do with it?) Tell me I'm full of it, please...I shouldn't even be considering taking the time to do that! Answer: Barb, Sounds like you've researched this pretty well. And only YOU can decide whether the differential is worth your time. (But you knew that...) lol My general questions for making the decision include these: Can I save listing time by selling multiples of an item? Can I save shipping time / packaging time by selling smaller amounts or 'set' amounts? Will the end user be willing to pay more per square foot for a smaller piece? Or should I just sell the whole thing and let someone else make some money from it also? How many bedspreads are we talking about here? What colors? What weights? Let us know what you decide!
