Chloe, I most often use a burn test to determine if a quilting-weight fabric is 100% cotton or not. I know many quilters are particular about using all cotton so I don't want to advertise it as cotton if it isn't.
I'm really miserable about deciphering burn test results! I can usually determine the cotton/not all cotton results but anything other than that I'm not too good at. I keep trying though! I've done listings where I've come right out and said I did a burn test and still can't determine the fiber content!
