Question:
This week we're having a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT contest.
This contest will have 2 parts, both having to do with a single textile-related word or phrase:
One, a definition of that textile-related word or phrase. The first person to post the correct definition of the term in this contest thread gets a prize: 100 here Points.
Two, use the letters in the term to form a new word. The word must be 5 letters or longer. Your word must be posted in this thread. The created words cannot be proper nouns. The participant who posts a given word first will receive 10 here Points. Each participant is only eligible to post one word. (In the case of a near-tie and your post is a duplicate of a previously posted word, you may make another try) There will be multiple winners of here points in this portion of the contest. For example ONLY, if the word were 'polyester', then you could define the word (part 1 of the contest) and/or post a word {like steel, peers, store} from the letters (part 2)
Please post the definition and the new word in SEPARATE posts. (added at 7:26pm May 3)
All posts and communication and questions about this contest should be conducted in this thread.
Mapledr will be the judge of this contest. Her decisions will be posted to this thread. The here Points will be awarded to your account after the contest closes and whenever Jim gets a chance to do it.

You'll get 10 here points maximum -- for ONE word 'jumble'
If you list a bunch of them, you'll still only get a total of 10 here points. (And you'll be giving away 'free' words for the other folks to use to get points! -- I think we'll have to ask each person to only post ONE 'jumble' word.
But yes, you might want to work on that 100 point definition for a bit at the beginning -- only one person will win that. And Mapledr will be the judge of which person wins (the first time post with what she judges to be the correct answer).
I'll let her figure out when to announce that winner. I'm having enough trouble figuring out my own postings. lol.
So, in summary, you said I'll get 100 here pts. for my definition, and 10 for each jumble. but the REAL answer is "you'll get 100 here pts for your definition IF it is chosen as the winner by Mapledr, and 10 here pts for one unique jumble that you contribute to the postings."

And glad you used an example (polyester) because I was about to post a question... if the jumble word had to be textile related. So that cleared that up.
Ok... using these examples {steel, peers, store}, it appears the jumble words can be a pleural to make up the five letters? peers. So in reality, it could be just a 4 letter word that can be a pleural.
