Great yard sale day..
Question:
Went to a church sale & bought bags & bags of fabric. I didn't get to check them real good till I got home. I was so happy to see a piece of Indian Head fabric in it. I think its from 1926. I need to ask Joan if its one of the original colors first introduced when they put out Permanent finish. I also got some great old kids prints. Some Indigo!! yeah http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif Lots of those great solids from the 30's. And...drum roll please...a double pink quilt top from the 1800's for $4 !! http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif I'll get some pictures today & put them up. Its so funny. I was so excited about finding all that good fabric, I was almost shaking...lol. Hubby thinks Im nuts as it is..but I think this confirmed it. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif Answer: Okay, got some pics. All of the fabric is 36". This first one is the Indian Head Cloth: http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics2.jpg This is one of the childrens fabrics. 2 views. Second one is the edge design. I think it is so cute http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif: http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics3.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics4.jpg This one I think is late 40's cause of the gray: http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics5.jpg This one is like a heavy shiny fabric http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_confused.gif http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics7.jpg Here is just an asst. of some: http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics6.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics8.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics9.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/.../Fabrics10.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/.../Fabrics11.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/.../Fabrics12.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/.../Fabrics13.jpg http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/.../Fabrics14.jpg Here is the fabric that is in the quilt top: http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/...s/Fabrics1.jpg Answer: WOW! Impressive! I'd be shaking too! lol ...almost makes up for last week, eh? Elaine Answer: It sure does. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif The trouble with fabric, as I'm sure you all know, is deciding what to keep and what to sell. For some reason I don't seem to sell much. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif Answer: ...big sigh... Tina, Tina, Tina... ...another big sigh... I went to two garage sales today. One advertised "lots of fabric" which turned out to be about a dozen pieces of double knit. The other sale advertised "lots of sewing and knitting supplies" which turned out to be a baggie filled with some partial packages of seam binding and rick rack and about 6 partial skeins of yarn. Please don't mind me as I sit here quietly sobbing... OK, really Tina, what a haul!!! Congrats! The childrens fabric is spectacular. If you decide to sell that one you'll do very well. And the quilt top sure looks like turn-of-the-century to me. Wow! http://community.here.com/infopop/em...s/icon_eek.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...s/icon_eek.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif Answer: Aw Tanya, you had my last weekend yard sales. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif Doesn't that just bust your buttons?
