Yep, I'm making a bunch of stuff.
I've got gift baskets made up with handmade soaps, body butter, ornaments, homemade wine (homemade hot chocolate mix for those who don't care for wine), throw-sized quilts, matching pillows, pot holders and kitchen towels that you can hang over your cabinet handles or oven handle, homemade candy (not made yet), etc.
About the only things I didn't make are my nephew's toys (dunno how to make Ninja Turtles - LOL!).
I'm about halfway finished wrapping the baskets, but that won't take long. Four of the six quilts are finished and wrapped. Got three more to make, but the tops are already done. Just waiting on this weekend to hurry up and get here so DH can help me with the quilting.
We've got an out-of-town friend who ALWAYS -- without fail!! -- shows up 2-3 weeks before Christmas without calling first ( ), ready to exchange Christmas gifts. This year, we're ready for him! Bring it on! (which, now that I've made sure we're prepared, means that he won't show up until Christmas Eve! LOL!)

Well, at least this year you won't have to go hide in the back room trying to figure out what to wrap up (or trying to FINISH that gift!) while everyone else is having a good time visiting! lol. BTDT.
I often make stuff, but so far this year I haven't been inspired to do anything. I might end up making something for dd and her dh because the stuff I thought I would give them won't work now.... But I'll wait until after the 18th to think about that. That's when all the extended family gatherings will be done, and I'll have some time!

I haven't done much of anything. Seems like Christmas always sneaks up
on me. Like I don't know it's coming every year...
My goal this year is to finish the charms bracelets I started many years ago.
I wanted a vintage Christmas charm for each bracelet. Then on special occasions I would give a charm to add to the bracelet.
Well I guess you know I have not gotten very far.
I did pick up a cute Beau sterling silver mare and foal charm for one sister.
I just received my bunny and the Yorkie charm but they are staying on
Pattys wrist!
There's a store in the mall that sells sterling silver cheap. They have it in bulk containers. Getting there is the problem. And I don't like going to the mall. But I may just make a trip.
I would really love to finish these bracelets this year.
Oh and you know what I found in the back of the bedroom, under all the ebay stuff? A House of Fabrics bag with the yarns, booklet etc to make my sister an afghan! That has been there for years! (I haven't worked for at least four years) I'd forgotten all about it! I'm never going to make it. I guess I can always list it as a "kit" type auction.
