Color matching chart
Question:
Hi Did someone a while back post a link to a site where you could enter a color and it would give you suggestions of coordinating colors? I thought I had it bookmarked but I can't find it. (I will double check my bookmarks, but so far I don't see it) What compliments pinkish shades? (but not blues) Thanks Answer: Take a look at a color wheel. The opposite of red (pink is a light red) is green, so that's a possibility. Light, dark, greyed, clear, there are lots of possibilities. Or you can go to the color on either side of green (blue-green and yellow green) and use them both. Or use blue AND yellow. That's just the old 'standard' color wheel. If you use one of the other ones you'll get slightly different results. Do you have one of the quilting color-selection books? Answer: Here are some links. I remember the one you're talking about. I don't think these are it, but here's some info on colors. Edited to add: OK, I found the one I believe that you're thinking about. http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/ The other's a great links, just to have. http://www.smartpixel.net/chromoweb/uks/indexgb.html http://www.pagetutor.com/colorpicker/index.html http://www.btinternet.com/~se16/js/htmlcol.htm http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutorials...le.php/3479001 http://www.kdwebpagedesign.com/tut_mm.asp http://www.isdntek.com/rainbow.htm http://www.imagitek.com/bcs.html http://www.isdntek.com/demo/internetcolors.htm http://www.lynda.com/hex.asp http://creationsbydawn.net/graphic/makeaset3.html Answer: I just stare at a color reallly hard until I see spots. The color of the spots is what I would go with... (((yeah, I know... it's late, ok?))) Answer: Geesh I didn't think to look in a quilt book...I only have a few Yes, the color blend link is what I was looking for. I'll make sure I bookmark it this time. Fiber Guy you are too funny. 4 a.m. I drank too much Diet Coke this evening and the caff is keeping me awake. I did a few odd and end dishes, did a load of laundry and I am still wide awake. I stopped drinking caff. because even one glass keeps me awake and makes my heart beat funny. But I had no soda and I had a craving for a soda. Sister Doobee and I walked down to the liquor store and they didn't have caff free. And I had to carry fat boy Doobee part of the way home. He pooped out. Answer: Wow! Color me confused. Blending and coordinating terms are flying around together in my brain right now! ---- Hope you got some sleep! Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
