Anyone know how to remove little black mildew spots from fabric?
Question:
IF so, please let me know!!
Answer:
I have no idea if this will work but found the tip in my Mary Ellen's Helpful Hints book --
MILDEW
-- Dry in the sun after moistening with lemon juice and salt.
-- Treat by adding 1/2 cup of liquid Lysol to the wash water.
-- On leaather; sponge with equal amounts of water and rubbing alcohol.
Good Luck!

Try a pair of scissors. It worked for me.

Well, I certainly agree with most everything that Mary Ellen says, but this
quote:
MILDEW

worrys me. It seems that there would be a high risk of the fabric bleaching out or fading. Cause in high school, when we wanted to add hilights to our hair, but weren't allowed, we would do the lemon juice thing. It is also recommended for getting stains out of cloth diapers. Be careful. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_cool.gif

Answer:
It depends on the fabric...
Answer:
Ya know...I had a shirt of my daughters that she had left in the camper It was a nice shirt but it had been wet, mildew ALL OVER it. I figured it was wort nothing in the state it was so I used some Oxy-clean on it and it took every bit of mildew out of it. I was very happy. I just wet the whole area , Rubbed on some oxyclean to form a paste. Let it sit overnight, and washed it the next day. It worked for me
