I also have a Pearl necklace, originally boxed by this maker,
The pearls I suspect are very real, no idea of value but was wondering if anyone knew of this maker or their reputation.

I can't help you with the mark, but if you want to test the pearls to know for sure if they're real, lightly rub them against your teeth. If they feel faintly gritty, they're real. If they feel totally smooth, then they're fake.
