Hey TaxiBob and SweetWhiskey
Question:
Just curious how you two are doing and if your still working with WSE. My hubby is still there however he will no longer be in truck number 2911. Laid it over in Kentucky a couple days ago. Hope all is going well with you two. Most people in life live with a 50-50-90 style. In other words when there is a 50-50 chance of getting something right there is a 90% probability that your going to get it wrong. Answer: Elly, Ok I am gonna try and post this without my fat fingers hitting the wrong button. I am still with Willis and so is Bob. I know last time I talked to him he was in Nevada at a shipper. I am rather enjoying my 7 day vacation with no pay and ready to hit the road in a vengence. I think next time I won't stay home so long, I tend to get ancy after a while. I am sorry your hubby turned the truck over and I hope he is doing alright. The truck can be replaced but he can't. It makes a person think twice about their profession. I hope you two had a great New Year and hope you all ate your blackeyed peas and spinach. Toodle Looooo Sweet Whiskey Answer: I am still going strong, FINALLY had some good long runs, am in terrell texas tonite heading to fla for a wed delivery..glad your husband is alright and let us know what his new truck # is..Happy trails. Answer: As soon as Elm decides what they are going to do I will let you all know. He wrecked in Kentucky and they had him go to Elm. Now they have put him up in a hotel for the night at least. I think sometimes people in this company need to come up for air a little more often. Most people in life live with a 50-50-90 style. Answer: Well you won't be seeing my husband out there with the company any longer because they let him go yesterday. They had him drive all the way from Kentucky to Arkansas just so that they could tell him he was fired. They could have told him that at home. Most people in life live with a 50-50-90 style. Answer: Well you won't be seeing my husband out there with the company any longer because they let him go yesterday. In other words; there is no such thing as an accident at Willis Shaw? Or is there already too much on his MVR that this last incedent brought him over the edge to the "non-insurable". I know it is a personal question, but if WSE cans a person for screwing up, then I feel it is important for people on these boards who may be looking at WSE as an employer, to know their policy---which may or may not come out during an interview. If he had a good MVR, and WSE fired him for an accident, I would not touch this company with a ten foot pole. Accidents do happen. However; if his MVR has exceded a point spread allowed by WSEs' insurance company---there was no other option for them but to fire him. _________________________ Cover Your Cans People!!!It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: Elly, Well that really does suck that they did that to him that way but i have come to realize that ALL of these companies really dont care about the driver. Now, they do have every right to fire you without cause actually..but i do agree, they could have done it another way, i wish your husband and you luck... Answer: They informed him that an accident of this nature would cost them to much to insure him as one of their drivers so they were letting him go. But I am looking at the positive aspect of this. It just puts him in a position to find a job with another company that will get him home more. I can understand the insurance issue claim and don't hold any grudges with the exception that they could have let him come home. Heck it doesn't matter where they fire you.
