Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

Today was interesting...to say the least.
Question:
Made my first trip over Parley (just east of SLC on I-80), in the middle of a snowstorm, usually I'll go around or wait it out. I went over before they put the chain laws into effect or shut the road down.
53' van with about 9K lbs. in the nose. There was about 6" of slushy snow on the roads and it was coming down hard enough to start building up fast on the windshield.
4 wheelers in the ditch all over the place on the w/b side.
I had my power divider locked in and broke traction a few times. Went up about 18-20 mph and down the same speed.
Was the longest I've ever taken to get over the hill since I started coming out here.
I-15 s/b was a big mess from about the 305 mm down to about the 280 mm.
I-15 n/b was shut down for quite a while due to a big wreck. Several big trucks and several 4 wheelers decided to play bumper cars. Fire and Rescue were on hand for that one.
Had whiteout conditions at Thanksgiving Point due to high winds and a ground blizzard.
Today was interesting to say the least. It was the worst I've seen in a while.
Glad I put on new drive tires last week.
Remember, when the weather's nasty, slow down!

Hoss, did you ever make it to "Exit 260somethin'" After leaving Henderson, NV. I was 'redtagged' at Cajon Pass for having a flat tire on the trailer. Sat there for three hours waiting for Penske to come out of Ontario to fix it, ran out of hours but the CHP officer was kind enough to let me go knowing I had no more then 25 minutes to drive.

I came over Cabbage Pass this morning, and as usual, the super truckers wer speeding down the hill. This usually doesn't bother me, but today the left lane was snowpacked and icy. Had lots of sand and gravel on it, but it's still slippery! I was even getting passed by Swift trucks and Pumpkins.
Now,

Answer:
I heard a driver on the CB yesterday say that up near the Oregon border they had snowmobiles bringing food and water to the truckers stuck out on the roads.
True?

Dangit Hoss, I just missed you again!
I got here to SLC on the 2nd, and it looks as if I will be heading toward Portersville, CA tonight or tomorrow. I sure wish you would quit trashin up all the truck stops b4 I get to them.
I was at the "old Giant" / "new Peelot" on I40 on the morning of the 2nd!!!
The "hwy to heii" was not too bad considering the snow!
When I got to Moab, UT it was clear as a bell all the way to the top of I70, then it got progressively "crappier" as I went down the mountain.
Musta been cause U had been down I15 huh.
