WSE or FFE
Question:
Willis Shaw or FFE, which is the better company? I havent been able to find much about pay, bennies, etc etc on Willis Shaw. FFE after one year is 29cpm. But what about company wise which one is better, any and all info is welcome and appreciated. btw I and bound and determined to pull a reefer Also Im a wanna be newbie who will need training. Thanks a ton! Singledrive Answer: just be sure not to get sucked into FFE's lease/purchase program. If you can find a way to fund school yourself you may also want to check out Trans AM out of Kansas City, Shaffer trucking out of PA (part of the Crete company). I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. Answer: Although, I'm sure FFE is an okay choice.(I just don't know much about FFE...other than to Stay AWAY from the Lease-Purchase, which is a BAD deal with ANY Carrier.) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Past Posts about WSE(click here) (9pgs)Bob's Rise & Fall w/WSE=From Start-to-Finish-to-Start again.(click here) Answer: Thanks for the info guys, and I was leaning towards WSE anyways so looks like its them for now. What is the cpm that a new driver would make with WSE? Thanks again and stay safe. Singledrive Answer: You should be able to get some info from the link below.(or, give them a CALL & ASK questions Directly.) http://www.willisshaw.com/opportunities.htm Answer: Taxibob is loving life over at Shaw. He was headed for a stroke and/or heart attack over at Hills Brothers, now he loving the Shaw Life! If we could only get him to realize that the Patriots are the best football team on earth! Answer: What about the automatic tranny's? Shur they would be nice for city driving but what happens when it comes time to pull a mountain? And just how would you keep from goin down the other side like a rocket sled on rails? Just curious but im shur theres and answer. Thanks Singledrive Answer: And just another note, we all know the St. Louis Rams are the number one team . Now as soon as Arkansas gets themselves a team LMAO Answer: I have an auto-shift transmission and i can tell ya how it works. First when pulling up a hill the engine and it's sensors detect a drop in rpm's causing the tranny to automatically downshift, you can also expedite the downshifting by pushing the little button on the side of the shifter (only works though if rpm's are below a certain point.) Now coming down a hill is a different story, assuming you have went down the hill you r preparing to go down before , you will have an idea what gear you need to be in. On mine, you can move the gear selector to either (h)hold or (L)low and using the selector button on side pick the appropriate gear for the situation. Then in conjunction with your jake brakes as well as foot brake you march your way on down that hill. Hopefully that answers your question. Answer: Hey Taxibob, how do you like the automatic tranny's ?. Do all of WSE's trucks have the automatic trannys? I'm still leaning toward WSE. Thanks for the info. . Answer: Thanks taxibob, yep that was exactly what I was lookin for. I knew there had to be somethin, just didnt know what. "keep the wheels spinnin and the beavers grinnin" LOL I love that phrase. Stay safe. Singledrive Answer: No, not all the trucks have auto-shift, the ones that dont mostly have straight 9 or 10 speeds. There are a few with super 10's but i dont think many. Answer: My Super 10 here at Willis Shaw is nice. I do miss my old straight 10 though. I think it's easier to skip gears then a super is. Oh what am I saying, you can't skip gears in a a super..duh. The hills and climbs are pretty nice in a super 10. While your going into gear all you have to do is flip it back and badda booom badda bang your in the lower gear. Then it's vice versa if your going downhill. I do enjoy this Mack I have, no oil leaks, still pulls decently and pretty roomy for a Girlie girl, hehehehe. Oh jakes work nicely, I just need to get a oil change and tires balanced and I'll be rockin and a rollin. Note: Not all Macks are great trucks, some of them break down on the first day out, just ask Bob. I guess I just got a good truck and I hope Bob's truck is truckin good. Sweet Whiskey Answer: whats your truck number i am in 3078 Answer: Bob I'm 2818, can't miss it, it has a sticker on drivers side that says "Normal People Worry Me." It was on there when I got it.... Kinda matches me hehe Sweet Whiskey Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
