Answer:
Is that what works for one may not work for another and the other way around. There are dfairly decent companies out there that will get trashed left and right by a handful of drivers with a grudge and there are also some rotten companies that may get praised all day and night by a few company "pets".
My point is this: Research, ask questions, and then make the decision you feel is right for YOU!!!!
I have a name not a number. I am not cheap but I am resonable.
Answer:
While your visiting the TN Newbies take the advice here with a grain of salt also. Just a bunch of loosers trashing good companies and pets praising bad ones.
I should be a little more civil. Advice is just that advice, take it or leave it. It is difficult deciding who to believe and who not to. Hoss made a post telling all to listen to Chclt Snd. Do you know Hoss or Chklt. should you listen them. Or how about Uturn or myself. Then there JSG (Zigzag) and Phill(Paladin) and a long list of others. Do you discount negative posters because their just whinners or the positive ones because their pets. Does someones posting style and mannor prove he is intelligent and to be listened to while another guy with lousy grammer and a backwoods style is to dumb to listen to.
My opinion and mine alone is. When enough people say the same thing there is some truth in it. When I first started out I had it all undercontrol. Some of the advice I was given just wasn't right. So I didn't listen to others, Chocolate Sndy. was one I some what ignored. I headed straight for a lousy company that a bunch of whinners here and other places said was lousy. Well to make it short it is a lousy company with pretty trucks. Luckily they scarred me just enough that I avoided Prime. I was close to going again thinking people here and other places were just a bunch of whinners. I was actually on my way there and the opinions from folks here, Chklt.Sndy included, kept going through my mind. I hopped another bus in Nashville and came back home. I am glad I listened to others.
It's your decision are they all whinners or pets. In my not so humble opinion, NO.

Answer:
Thats true. The web site claims they don't verify the info, they just post it. But the larger companies that you hear about C.R.E and Swift have quite a few posts. Take it with a grain of salt

Answer:
You are right what works for one person doesn't always work for another. You must read between the lines. Where you live and how you want to run, be picky and you may sit, don't want that short run that may take you to a longer run you sit. I dont go there you sit. and yes it can be the reverse and back fire on you and you end of sitting, but I would rather move then sit and make nothing.

Answer:
Thanks for the URL. From what I see some of the companys that were supposed to be great, do have many problems too.
Keep the Government off my back and out of my business.

Answer:
Grain of salt -- good advice.
The problem is separating the legitimate complaints from those that are just excuses for the driver's own failures.
Isn't it amazing how no drivers ever own-up to making any mistakes that might have contributed to their problems? Trash the company -- that feels better than facing the truth sometimes.
Also -- no two drivers are treated the same. Sometimes it's just the roll of the dice. Which dispatcher you get? Which trainer you were cloned from? Are you the one who gets the occasional bucket of bolts that's randomly assigned?
And then, there's always folks who think that anyone who's relatively successful must be a company "pet". The fact is, no matter who you work for, you have to get along, follow instructions, show some maturity and patience (lots of patience) and produce. Drivers who don't, simply don't get treated very well -- and they tend to blame the good producers for their own failures, as if this were some government hand-out. It isn't. Performance and attitude means everything in trucking.

Ziggy loved Crete for a long time and when I worked there I wouldn't give you two cents for them!
They were the most driver unfriendly company I have worked for!
One of the best was M&S Trucking, Meadvile, MO but they are out of business now! I like small companies, but for a large one J.B was good at the time I worked there.

Answer:
Now that's a pretty large crock of ****. It's either just bad luck or the drivers fault. You can't get much more off track than that. It is easier though to blame it on the driver. We all know what bums drivers are and how most have a bad attitude. That's the reason they don't make it, right.
Some companies just plain suck. They thrive on the low pay newbies make coming out of school. They simply don't want them to stick around long enough to work the system. They like their tax deductable revolving door.
Besides all that, each driver above has certain companies they would not work for no matter what. They have never worked there nor will they but they will certainly tell you not to go there. Why???, because of the experiences other drivers have had with those companies.
It's real easy to tell the truth from fiction.
