Question:
I had my license suspended for 60 days in 1981 for speeding (my first ticket ever) attended a driver improvement clinic for 2 days.
In 1988 My NC driving priviliges were suspended for 12 mos. for speeding. (I held a VA. License)
The first offense I was doing 80 in a 55. (I was a dumb kid that only had my license a few months)
The 1988 offense I was cruisin on my Motorcycle up us 13 in Gates county and just wasnt payin attention to my speed. I was ticketed for 77 in a 55.
My question is:
a. will either of these be on my MVR?
b. can or would a Potential employer find this info out, and if they did, does anyone think its relevent information, as its been 21 years since the first one, and almost 15 since the second?.
I know this sounds kinda ridiculas, but those are the only 2 things I can think of that would be considered major traffic violations I have. and I have seen the apps. for schools and jobs, they all asked if you EVER have had your license revoked or suspended. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Im pretty honost and wouldn't withold any info on the app.

The company can find out if they dig hard enough, but the liklihood of that is very slim. DOT regulations only require a work and MVR history of 10 years, so I'd guess that you have little to worry about.

Thanks again. Like I said I know it sounds a bit wierd, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a company holding that old of a suspension against anyone. I appreciate your thoughts.

From the insurance side, the past 3 years is what we will look at for minor violations. Some companies will look at the last 5 years if there is a DUI or other similar major violation.
