Question:
Ok heres my dilema, I called the shipper and the lady was supposed to call me back. She never did and here I am trying to figure out where the anheuser bush in long island city is. I looked on rand mcnally and found nothing. Is there such a place or am I loosing my mind. Who can help me? Now my company is supposed to have the directions, but my luck they don't. Answer: I believe Long Island City is in Queens in NYC. Unless ur talking about another state. You didnt say what state so I'm presuming. Steve It's nice to be important, but, it's more important to be nice. Answer: Long Island City is on the north west corner of long Island in Queens. It is right off of Queens Blvd. if your heading towards the 59th st. bridge also called Queensboro bridge. it will be west or to your left. Going over the bridge puts you in Manhattan, not good. I do not know where AB is. Basically you will be north of Brooklyn and in Queens at the edge of Long Island right across from Manhattan. Look for Northern Blvd. 25A it runs right thru LIC. Answer: Next time they don't call you back, go to; www.mapquest.com Thats all you need. Answer: If you need a map, I agree with the above post. Go to www.Mapquest.com . However if you need the address of a business, try www.Switchboard.com Fill in the company name, city and state and let Switchboard.com locate a phone listing for you including the street address then hit Mapquest.com Hope this is helpful. Answer: I say park it, enjoy a meal and stop sweating it. Then give them a call and explain that if they actually want the load you need an address and directions suitable for a tractor/trailer. Answer: When I need directions there they are. Now deciphering them is a different task. This van trucking has made me really lazy. They better trip plan me and give me a good fuel stop as well. Don't want to have do any any real work planning or anything. All I need now is a electronic log and this will be cake!..lol202 N Main Street Summerfield Il 62289 TRUCK PARKING AVAILABLE! Answer: where is ziggy when you need him!!!!!!!! "The Mirrow Holds The Answer" Answer: Well...did you find it? Did you at least stop and eat a good hot dog or pizza while you were there? Answer: Just got back from up in that area, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Long Island. Now I know why they don't let truckers carry guns. Ike "The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." Albert Einstein Answer: you need an address and directions suitable for a tractor/trailer. Best advice yet!!! Mapquest is good for just about anywhere else, but in a city with as many restrictions and low clearances as NYC, MAPQUEST CAN NOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN A FOUR WHEELER THAT IS 4 AND A HALF FEET TALL AND 10 FEET LONG---AS APPOSED TO A TRUCK THAT IS 13' 6" AND 65 FEET LONG. Always get your directions from the shipper/consignee, and always make double sure that when they give you the directions, that they understand you are in a truck---not on a moped. (Just ask USAF if he will do this from now on, after that bridge in Ohio took his trailer down). If you can't get ahold of them---wait until you do!!! (especially in a city like NYC) I, personally, don't like to get directions from the receptionist that may answer the phone (I always ask for shipping and recieving), because 9 times out of 10, he/she will tell you how they got to work. I know you have been and gone by now, but I posted this info anyway, because it may help the next guy/gal. _________________________ Cover Your Cans People!!!It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: Yes I found it and I posted my experience on "Hey Sweet Whiskey" if anyone is interested. Answer: Originally posted by badattatude: where is ziggy when you need him!!!!!!!! "The Mirrow Holds The Answer" I read it,no address=no directions The post is in the wrong forum to start out with. The title should have included the name of the customer and the city. The post should have included a complete address with zip code. Santa is a teamster. Answer: Zigzag, I might have posted it all wrong and I am truly sorry oh mighty one, (just kidding). I do agree I did post it wrong. Next time I deliver up in Queens or so, I'll put the address and name of company I am delivering to. I was panicing and there really was no reason to panic. New York City is just another city with a million people there. Sweet Whiskey Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
