part w 3000 bucks 4 a cdl
Question:
Well its crunch time, was gonna roll w millis, but I wanna run teams 1 st time out the gates.....Now looks like Werner, not my 1 st choice but, (long story)......Ok so werner pays back the tuition,@100 per month , meaning 3 yrs later its free........what if it dont work like that, can I bop around other companies and they pick up the difference? Life is a mystery to be lived , not a problem to be solved.............I think? Answer: Usually you only get reimburesed from the first company you go with.If you go with Werner and then quit, the next company might hire you but probably won't do the reimbursment thing.Good Luck with whom ever you choose!! Answer: Why don't you check into getting your training from one of the companies that do their own training, give them a year and your training is free. As some would say they may not be the best, but its a good starting point. (I hope you are not looking into the school in Sun Prairie,Wi., Its not the best School, alot of student training student, instructors sitting in office drinking coffee and shooting the bull. Well that was 12 years ago hope things have changed. And I think they lost their VA approval.) How about CRST their a team company and not to bad from what I hear. Try and stay with your first company at-least a year before moving on. It makes you just a little more desirable to future employers. Job hopping is one of the biggest mistakes new drivers make. Besides the grass is usually not any greener on the other side of the fence. If your already thinking you wont want to stay at Werner or some other company then why go there in the first place. Look for companies you think you'll like. If Werner will hire you then so will others. Just put some effort into your search until you find one you really want to start with. "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of all who threaten it" Answer: Does Werner agree to pay for all your tuition, regardless of cost? If they only agree to pay $3000 or $5000? I have a feeling your tuition won't be paid off in 3 yrs at $100 per month. Check your loan contract carefully. I know the $3000 Swift paid on Hubby's loan ($150 per mo.) still leaves him owing about $2000 after the interest tacked on to the original $3800? loan. I also understand only the first employer will pay for tuition BUT I think sometimes companies mess up My step son worked for Werner 9 months and they paid on his tuition. He left Werner and went to Swift and asked them if they would reimburse tuition. I was surprised when he showed me they were reimbursing his tuition on his paycheck each week. Not sure how that one got by but it worked for him. Answer: Schneider at all. They are one of the very few that train virtually free. Personally I'm heading to a community college in January. 9 weeks 1200 bucks and I am good to go. This way if I decide that is stinks being gone from home for weeks I own nothing!
