Question:
I noticed in another post you mentioned blood sugar problems. You need to watch how much fasting you do. Too little food can cause you to have a high blood sugar reading surely as eating to much food or the wrong types of food. Starches and dairy are too big culprits that are often overlooked when trying to control blood sugar. Bread, pasta, potatoes, rice etc, and anything made with milk can cause your blood sugar to go way up if you eat them in too large of quantities. Since it sound like you are new to this be sure to check your blood sugar often especially after eating different foods to learn exactly how things effect you. Everyone reacts differently to food, excercise and medications. I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. Answer: Since it sound like you are new to this be sure to check your blood sugar often especially after eating different foods to learn exactly how things effect you. Everyone reacts differently to food, excercise and medications. New to trucking or new to high blood sugar? Yes. I'm new to both. I volunteered to be laid off from my 40 year job with an electric power utility company with some incentives. I chose to use some of the severence money to graduate from a trucking school. I really do want to drive. I've had annual physicals since I can't remember how far back and my personal physician never mentioned any of these problems. At the trucking school the MD said I had a high sugar. After school, my doctor decided to send me to a diabetes education seminar which said I was in pre-diabetes and prescribed diet and exercise. I got myself fixed up with a blood-sugar monitor meter and check myself frequently. Same with the bp. I'm 61 yo and very much want to drive a few years before permanently retiring.
