Question:
Ok I am a 21 yr old driver i have a scheduled run 3 times a week! I put an add on a chat line here in winnipeg where i live lookin to meet a driver to possibly run team with.
Along came a response to my add there was an awsome man leaving me a message telling me about himself and left me his number so i called him right away becuz i was more then interested in talkin to him to get to know more about him! So we talked for a few days we were on the phone with eachother all of the time we had alot on common and were very scared to meet one another just becuz we liked eachother so much on the phone we kinda didnt want to ruin it.
So anyway we met and hit it off very well he came with me to do one of my switches and when we got back to town he took out to his place which was an hour and a bit away from where i live we spent 2 1\2 days together and i enjoyed every minute of it that was at the beginning of November.
It is now december 1st we still talk on the phone and he knows how much i m into him! he told me from the beginning that he is not going to rush anything which i agree becuz if and when i do get involved i want it to be right not just right now if you know what i mean He owns his own truck so he is on the road alot which is a good sign but then it also sucks cuz well i drive too and would love the oppurtunity to spend soo much more time with him and have him for company! I guess i m asking for advice from some fellow drivers as what to say to him without being pushy or sounding needy
he is what i want his personality is awsome he has a wicked sense of humor and i really want things work but i dont want to push.
i guess i m just wanting to know what could happen or if i should just back off and let him come to mee but i dont want to wait around forever for nothing

Umm I have no idea why responding to this, BUT
You have guts going on a chat line advertising for someone to team with.
Do you not read the papers; do you know how many nuts are out there???
Anyway I’m not going to get into the speech thing here, but I would consult family and friends regarding this. You have to be careful about who you talk to and eventually me on the internet.

I'll help answer your question...Don't be too pushy, it'll scare him away. But don't be too unavailable either, he'll think that your not interested. Never call more than twice without your call being returned. Better rule, call once, wait a few days, and call again. But never call more than twice without him calling you back. You'll look desperate if you do, and he'll know that he has you. When he comes into town and calls, don't go running over like you don't have anything else to do. Make him call you twice.

While it appears you have bucked the odds in having met someone in a chat and survived the experience, it does not always work out that way. Yes, taking chances is part of life and success. It is also the chances you take which put you in jeopardy, choose wisely to increase your odds of success as well as survival.
There is such a thing as pulling until you push them away. Go with the flow and not against the current. This could be a good thing for you both, it's quite possible this gentleman is leary of being burned if he has been before. Take the slow road in the event he is, but don't disappear from the scene. He may very well be just as interested. Time will tell. Just my 2 cents worth. I give change if 2 cents is too much -->

That is an awsome way of lookin at it i never thought of it like that and geesh just today i was thinkin **** is he not interested in me cuz he is not phonin me back i asked him to call me when he knew he was going to be stoppin for the night so maybe if he made it to dryden we can hook up even if only for a few minutes but i never heard back from him then i called just befor i left the city to tell him i was leaving but then when i passed kenora last night i m sure i seen him and his buddy runnin beside eachother i was thinkin maybe he doesnt think a few hours is enough and wants to wait till he has more time to spend with me but i m not sure so i think i m just going to back off a bit till he phones me i dont want to seem pushy
