SHIPPER'S CHOICE TRACTOR TRAILER TRAINING offers a class to active duty military on the weekends at Fort Eustis. The time will be Sat and Sun from 0800 hrs until 1800 hrs for 8 weekends. I talked to the guy today,and he told me that since tuition assistance went up from 75% to 100%. The training is free for active duty military. His next class is on Dec 7th and the one after that starts in Feb. The guys name is O.B. his number is (757) 825-3861. I wouldn't worry too much about that. Under Clinton, yeah, but not under Bush. This country is now back to deficit spending and the military is usually the biggest beneficiary of such policies with the Republicans running the show. Can you say "Reaganomics"? I think Congress gave the armed services a pretty hefty pay raise recently (5.x% I believe) where under Clinton we were getting 1.5% and 2% raises.
You'll get better pay raises percentage-wise out of the military than you will driving a truck!

I just can't see drivers going into $5000 debt to go to a school or even signing on with a company to get their schooling and then being locked into them for a year or more..When they may very well find out that trucking is not for them..
