Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

Hey Stuffs
Question:
In another post you wanted to poke fun at me and my "funny stuff". Ok so now here is your chance, in your infinate wisdom to elaborate furthur.
What more is there than a company driver, O/O, Fleet owner, and comapny owner.
If you drive a truck that someone else owns you are a COMPANY DRIVER
If you own or are buying/leasing a single truck and driving it yourself you are an Owner/Operater
If you own or are purchasing/leasing several trucks without you own authority you are considered a Small Fleet Owner
If you have your own operating authority, regardless if you have 1 truck or 1000 trucks you are a Company Owner.
So now I ask you. What are the 20 or 30 other levels I left out for a driver? Dispatcher? Safety Coordinater, recruiter, etc? Most of these types do not drive trucks, many never have, and even if they do they still fit into one of the above categories.
Wannabe, newbie, student, rookie, experienced,? With the exception of the wannabe who has never driven the rest can still be placed into one of the above categories.
So come on Stuffs. Educate me and everyone else here please. What are the 20 or 30 other levels for a driver.
I will always be a mutter trucker at heart.

The levels are
Company driver
Owner/Operater
Small fleet owner, or Owner Operator with 1 truck and own authority.

Well Ut in that post you stated there are specifically 3 levels to trucking. I'll give you the 4th because you kind of blended it together.
Unless you are slightly blind you may have noticed there are many many different types of trucks and trailer combinations on the road. I could start listing them for you if your unable to point them out yourself. The diversity in trucking is very large. Fromm Tanker to reefer, specialized to dry van. Each one has it's own learning curve and it's own required skills. Just tanks alone have many different types of hauling. So if you think trucking has three or four simple little levels you are a bit looney.
Try a little reading comprehension. Something many Super Trucker know it alls usually lack.
"He's just leaving out the 20-30 job types and pay levels in between." Thats what I actually said and what you actually left out. Some how in your all knowing abilities do you think it's not true?

" Just a little more info than you may have asked for. It may be true that in a year you did not know the difference from a glad hand and a 5th wheel. But not so for the majority. Most do not mistake the two from the very beginning.
There are those that enter the industry tht are less than intelligent. But not so for all. I gave 2 examples of people that started their own small company with one truck. One person is enjoying success and the other is bankrupt. Both started equally. Some can make it work and others can't no matter how hard they try. Hopefully Uturn you can see the difference and understnd not all are dummies as you may think.
I do understand that you have had many more jobs in your short 3 years as a driver than most. But ultimate authority you are not.

I guess that you never heard of sarcastic exaggeration before.
you are still going to be trying to figure out the difference between a glad hand and a 5th wheel
is an example of it. Just like the saying of knowing your azz from a hole in the ground.
I really do not know what your problem is with me lately, but you seem to like to target me and what I have to say a lot anymore. You go out of your way to twist and manitpulate (sp) my posts and responses into something other than what they are. You take the literal and make it figurative and the figurative and make it literal. Oh well so be it. If it brings you that much fun into your life then enjoy yourself.

I'm sorry you feel it is twisting and manipulating your words. Actually it is pointing out that the world has more than one side to it. It's not flat.
I'm not even exactly sure why you even started this post and with a some what condensending tone. Maybe you actually believed I was intentionally putting you down and you wanted to show me up or something and prove you were correct in something. I guess that isn't going to happen in this case.
I think way to many drivers new and old alike look at driving in the same narrow point of view as you displayed with your "levels". Could be why the majority never go beyond pulling a dry box or a reefer for a low wage for some scum bag big company their entire career. Could be why some never get past being a newbie.
I happen to think theres alot more to it than the simple little levels. If new drivers don't ever look beyond that then they will never go beyond it.
I'm sorry I didn't see any humor in your glad hand statement at all. What I saw was condensending criticism. Unwarranted at that. There are a few posters that visit here that really know their stuff when it comes to driving. I respect IRR, Bedspread, Dominoes, Raeblam, Hoss and the many others that give advice here that truly have the experience to fall back on. Those folks rarely put newbies down unless of course their off in some fantasy truckers land of dreams. The rest, and myself included, we just haven't done what they have done or have the ability to act as some authority on the subject. Unfortunatly I see it and sometimes do it. So I go ahead and point out some of the flaws.
Please remember the way you address someone in a post just might be the way they respond.

Please...Let's not get our fur ruffled here on Fantasy Forum. This is where Truck.bet draws most of it's revenue (accepting advertising from training level carriers) from supplying fresh meat. We cannot upset the process here.
The Prophet of The Newbies States;
If you own or are buying/leasing a single truck and driving it yourself you are an Owner/Operater
If you own (or are buying) a single truck, you are a Moron. If you are Lease-Purchasimg a truck from your employing carrier, you are then classified as a complete Imbecile.
Let's keep some truth in the equation please...

Hmmmm .. now I know what's been wrong with me all these years!
