I got one done before I went to school and when I got to WSE they wanted me to have another one done. I don't understand why they wanted me to have 2 of them. Can anyone tell me why they wanted one through their clinic.

Sweet, The reason for a new physical is because they want you to have a real physical, not one done by your schools Dr.. most schools have a Dr. that will pass the breathing dead. The difference between physicals can be night and day. If ya don`t have any real med problems, then don`t sweat it.

When I started school I had to get a D.O.T physical and when I went with a company I had to get another, Theu were as different as night and day, The company physical was a real physical, squats, running in place sound proof booths, etc... the school phusical last all but 10 minutes.

Hubby originally failed first physical at school. Dr. told him he had diabetes and sent him to his personal Dr. to get tests. Tests came back negative, he took results back to school Dr. and all was well.
He had another physical, no biggie, at the company he went to work for, passed no problems. After 2 yrs. he had to get another, he went to terminal for physical.
They had a line of newbies there getting checked out also. They took Hubby to head of line because he was a recertification (and needed to roll in some miles). They gave him urine test (for sugar I presume and checked his blood pressure. The Dr. came in room, stuck a stethoscope on his chest and said "You have a heart, it's beating" and sent him on his way

is the DOT physical? I fell off a roof back in January and have since been somewhat released by my doctor. Because of the severity of my injury I have a neat little plate in my left leg on the lower left below the knee. My leg will never bend beyond 80-110 degrees ever again.
I did stop at a Freightliner dealership and sit in a 2003 Classic depressing the clutch several times with absolutely no effort.
If this DOT physical requires running of any type I'm screwed. Squats are doable but the left leg bends so far.
Any info or help will be greatly appreciated.

The one I had I did squats, run in place, hearing test in a sound proof booth, eye test, hernia test, urine, had to carry 40 lbs across the room and back, it was 18 months ago, there was more but i cannot remeber all of it, its pretty basic, hope it helps

If you're breathing you can pass a DOT physical,
look around you. The physical you describe is a company physical concerning your ability to do the work and any future physical disabilities
that would be work related.

LOL, turn your head to the left and cough, to the right and cough. I had a interesting physical. I had to bend over at the waist for 5 minutes and sort nuts from bolts. Then I had to load a hand cart up with 200 lbs of junk and go down 3 flights of stairs, then up 3 flights of stairs. Then I had to move boxes from a shelf and put them on the floor, then pick them up and put them back on the shelf. This was all for a foodservice company thats 100% driver unload.
