Really thinking of going with Pride Transport, but..........
Question:
I am seriously considering giving up my local driving job to go back on the road. My first outfit really gave me a bad taste (CR England) need I say more. But I have been off the road since May and been driving local and into a couple of states now and then and I am finding myself going through somewhat of withdrawls. Even though I missed my family terribly I managed to deal with it and now I am finding that I almost need to get out there again. My stint with England only lasted 3 months, and with this local driving since then I will be coming up on a year of driving pretty soon, but I know what company that I want to pursue and that would be Pride Transport, but what concerns me is according to their website you must have a minimum of 1 year otr in order to work for them. Do you think I have screwed myself in trying to work for them with only really 3 months verifiable otr and the rest local with surrounding states ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Pavement Pounder Answer: Do you think I have screwed myself in trying to work for them with only really 3 months verifiable otr and the rest local with surrounding states ? I don't think you screwed yourself quitting CRE, IF, you can verify the "why" part. You will be asked, either on your app or verbally. As for Pride, you do know that Pride is also England? Tho, the other brother. This other brother takes some pride in trucking where the CRE brothers DON'T! "Rumor" has it that Chester England ceased the flow of $$ to CRE and directed that flow to Pride. I can't understand why, tho! After all, one company is running the family name & company into the ground and the other isn't! Good luck with Pride!!
