I went on another trip with my friend who drives for Great American Lines. This time we left the terminal heading to US Steel in Detroit, Michigan. We got there, he went in and turned in his paper work to show that he was there, pulled the truck around to start to get loaded, got loaded, pulled back out and got his Bills of Lading. Then we left. We went in a train with two other drivers with their company. I think that I like the steel hauling business. He told me the longest that he has to wait is 2 hours with this company. We left the terminal at 8 am and got back around 3:30 pm. We also had to drop the load off at Pro-Tec in Lepsic, Ohio. I really like this end of the business. All of the guys that was driving yesterday that I met liked working for this company, so this tells me something. It must not be too bad.

Thats good to hear. I wish I could get the chance to ride with a long haul driver. I already know what its like to drive a truck (at least a straight truck), but id like to see the inner workings of the business.
