Ken Answer: Hope it works great for you!!!!! Answer: I hope everything works out for you.Listen to your trainer, if you don't understand something ask questions they are there to help you learn it.I hope everything works out for you. Answer: Happy Trucking and Best Of Luck to you!!! "When you think you're at the end of your rope --- reach down and tie another knot!" Answer: I appreciate everybodys comments.I know most of you guys already know what its like to start out in the trucking business.I know it will be a complete turn around from what i've ever done before,i also know it won't be easy learning all the things that i will have to prepare myself to deal with.My life in textiles was'nt a gravy train,i hope i can adjust to the demands that i know a lot of folks will put on you in this business.I think i got a little ideal from all the things i've read from other folks on this web site.I'll try to keep in touch with every body on here as to how everything is going with me and the trucking world.I want to thank all you guys for sharing your thoughts on this with me.Keep On Trucking Good Buddies !! Ken Answer: Good luck with your decision. I don't remember hearing bad things about any USF companies. I'll also add a piece of advice to a Newbie because nobody else has. Drop the "GOOD BUDDY" from you're trucking venacular,it's offensive to some Hetrosexual truckers. Mike Answer: Krp, Hope all goes well! Please keep us posted on how it is. All of us newbies like to hear all there is to know about the carriers. Thanks and be careful out there. EsterJ's Husband EsterJ Answer: Just sent my app back to them yesterday. maybe I'll see ya there or down the road if all goes well. mole Answer: I think they are a great choice for your region of the country. Keep us posted of how it goes. Answer: My next door neighbor drives for Glen More, he seems to be happy with them. He likes to run so he stays out sometimes for two to three weeks, but if he wants home time they arrange it for him. They seem to try to take care of there drivers. His wife had to have back surgey and he was up north. They brought him into the nearest terminal and tried to find him a load heading to knoxville. They couldn't find a load so they had him bob-tail back to knoxville so he would be home when is wife went into surgrey. He also gets to bring his truck home with him. Best of luck with your new job Answer: Are you having to relocate or will they get you a load toward laurens a couple of times a week? Charles Answer: Just wanted to wish you good luck with getting on with usf glen moore, give them a few days to get your application, then give them a call, best of luck to you.Ken Ken Answer: Good to see some body on here from S.C.,in answer to your question, they did'nt say any thing about relocating, told me that with the southeast regional run i could get home at least a couple days a week, did'nt tell me how that would workout.I know i will be working out of the knoxville tennesee terminal, they asign you a truck to keep all the time.Good luck if you decide to try and get on with them.Ken Answer: Thanks for the advice on dropping the good buddy thing,i sure don't want to offend anybody on here, this has become my favorite web site.I appreciate all the the advice and help i can get with my career change. Thanks again! Ken Answer: Very good choice! The family of companies operating under US Freightways has for the most part had postitive relations with drivers. I know several guys who work for USF Holland (80% of USF Freightways revenue and the only unionized company in USF) and another guy who works for USF Distribution. The only problem I've heard of is from USF Processors (a company that was formed to handle customer returns) but that company was being mismanaged and they are getting their act back together there. http://www.subway.com Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
