WIL-TRANS STRAFFORD,MISSOURI
Question:
Anyone have info on this company. My friend wants to drive. He said they hire trainees. His computer took a nose dive. He will bury it next week. So I am doing the post for him. We both live in Texas. Any heads up would help. I checked out their web page. Looks like a good company. 90 days of otr with trainer. Thanks-Be Cool 4speed Answer: http://roundtable.truck.net/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=6456013822&f=2766031032&m=9806038063&r=8496044263#8496044263 http://roundtable.truck.net/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=6456013822&f=4076031032&m=3526046032&r=5526046032#5526046032 ----------------------------- http://www.msnusers.com/PrincessPennie/shoebox.msnw Answer: http://www.primeinc.com/news/wiltrans2002.html ----------------------------- http://www.msnusers.com/PrincessPennie/shoebox.msnw Answer: Well you should have more than one opinion about them...I can't say anything because I don't know anything about them. If that's True, Thats just training. Heck its only 4 weeks with a trainer, than you can do what you want, the way you want. The only down fall is no raises ($0.24 a mile straight) but, if you can get 3000-3500 miles per week off them its not so bad until you find another company you can sign with. Answer: It's not one opinion as midnightrunner says..It is dozens.. There are dozens and dozens of negative opinions on Prime, in which working for Wil-Trans is the same as working for Prime.. Your employer will be Prime, your pay checks will say Prime, your W-2 will say Prime and everything else will say Prime... Your truck might say Wil-Trans on the side, but everything else will say Prime.. Your DAC report when you leave will say Prime.. You will be working for Prime! ----------------------------- http://www.msnusers.com/PrincessPennie/shoebox.msnw Answer: Because they are a part of Prime I would just stay away from them. Very few drivers ever make any money there. You will be expected to stay out for weeks at a time for little and often no pay. A driver and his wife I just went through orientation with was there for 9 months. He stated that it cost him $9000, dolars to drive there although he was always running. He had to withdraw from his savings acoount just to make household bills. If a team operation running 24/7 can't make some money no one will. The odds are against you. Any companies who's main goal is leasing a truck is not a good choice. Great Stuff "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of all who threaten it" Answer: Thanks for the info. I do not know why companies like Prime, Will-Trans & England push so hard for the truck lease. H##l's Bells, England will will lease a truck to a trainee right out of OTR training. I told my friend to check out Swift. Stay with them for a year or 2. Then you can move on to a better job. Will-Trans has some nice trucks. Pulling a reefer for .24 per mile does not make sense. Go dry van. Thanks-4speed Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
