Guess no one's interested.....
Question:
I have applied to several companies and have gotten no response. Guess its because I have a felony on my record from 1993. How long should I wait to hear back before I send a message to them or just write them off?

Answer:
Don't write any one off just yet. First call each company that you applied with and ask about your app. (If these are large companies your app might have gotten lost in the shuffle.) Then if you do not get a response then go to smaller companies.
Good luck and don't give up.

Answer:
wishicould,
It is not unusual for anyone to get no responses to the applications they put it.
The larger carriers often have hundreds of applicants, they can't possibly respond to each and every application personally.
Call to follow up on all the applications you have submitted. It is not the carrier's resposibility to contact you, and in many cases they don't. They expect you to take the initiative and follow up on the application, if anything to demonstrate a genuine interest in them.

Answer:
Call every company you submitted an application to and ask them. If they haven't done anything with it yet, they should when you call. If they haven't checked it over yet, they will tell you to call back in about 24 to 72 hours so they can get a DAC report. After a max of 4 days you should know something.
Hey, if life throws you a curve ball, try and take a swing at it. Who knows what might happen

are quick and easy they are on the bottom of the priority list for a companies recruiting staff, especially when calling a person back.

Answer:
I agree, are convenient, but Roehl for one, will usually not start processing til you call. Also they were having server problems and they get "blown away" from time to time. Or as in the case of Two Iron, a recruiter blows it away for whatever reason. Answer: Keep calling til they either $hit or get off the pot!
Better to have it and not need it as need it and not have it!Just remember:If the world did'nt suck, you'd fall off!
The more I see and read about Republicans and Democrats, the more I wish we had an Independent Party.
IMPEACH BUSH!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:
... you have to take extra steps as a result of your disability. Personal contact with the recruiter is what is needed, not just short comment e-applications. Recruiters for most companies are also paid on drivers hired so help them hire you. Don't give up!
Several large companies use e-apps, that don't make them better, don't limit yourself to what is easy, trucking ain't easy, make the rounds of all the local companies in an ever widening circle.
I spent several years as a salesman, I quickly learned that you had to knock on many doors for one sale, it might be the first one of the day, or the last one, quit early and you may have lost the sale that day, keep knocking.
