I suggest that before you TRY putting someone down....You get "Hooked-On-Phonics" & learn How to Spell. (or better yet, use your "Spell Checker".) Answer: Originally posted by choclit snda: I suggest that before you _TRY_ putting someone down....You get _"Hooked-On-Phonics"_ & learn How to Spell. _(or better yet, use your "Spell Checker".)_ Seems a lot of you spend more time avoiding the subject, then sticking to it! Yes, my dear woman. You have detected one spelling err. However, it looks like you are more consumed with avoiding the subject of the post, and my attempt to ascertain a clarification! ************************************ Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson Dedicated to solving high crimes and misdemeanors in the trucking industry. Answer: "the answer is a simple No" And how would you know that. Did you go with him? Picking on spelling, really? Childish for sure. I know when I took my last physical I was a bit nervouse. I almost failed one for Stevens a few years back. Took 4 tries and lots of water to get something in the urine right. So I was nervous this last time also. I did pass but again had the same problem. So now a docs visit is in order. Depending on a persons circumstances a physical can be a challenge. Oh, Also Sherlock Holmes, I'm Glad We Kicked Your Asz in the Revolutionary War, which we like to call "Independents Day" here in the US or as you brits would call "the one that good a way." By the way do you even have semis over there or are you still on horse and buggy delivering products to stores? Answer: Uh, hate to tell you this but. . .it's Independence Day. Your misery is limited by the depth of your imagination. 1 Iron Dodge makes it. . .CUMMINS shakes it! www.TurboDieselRegister.com Answer: midnightrunner, Sorry I hurt your little feelings. I guess being an old guy I don't see the excitement in passing a DOT physical. Matter of fact when I got my first commercial license I didn't have to take a DOT physical. I can't remember when it became a requirement. However, it wasn't much of an exercise of frugality. DOT physical, even in today's world, is actually laughable in the United States compared to a real world physical. Insurance companies require more to get a simple life insurance policy. The physical in the States, which many times is done by the lowest bidder, consist of blood pressure, heartbeat, hearing, eyesight, a question if you have hemorrhoids, turn your head and cough, and pee in a cup to make sure you're not too sweet. Now, I have run across one doctor that like to use his finger to check if you have hemorrhoids. (He seemed to like it too much). He eventually was kicked out of the profession. Now I do understand your excitement if you had high blood sugar. However, you should of had that under control and understood the parameters of that long before you had your DOT physical done. Like I stated, I guess I don't understand the excitement at my age at becoming a brand new trucker. I just can't wait to see the day where they actually issue your commercial license. Your excitement will most likely cause TruckNet to blow a fuse! Oh by the way, If me funning you about your passing your DOT physical makes your dandruff run for cover. You'll never survive the onslaught that you'll receive from some posters the day you start posting your excursions in trucking. You'll be the one blowing the fuse! Nevertheless, thanks for still allowing us to interject a little humor in this thread without reporting us to the Bobbies. *********************************************** Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson Dedicated to solving high crimes and misdemeanors in the trucking industry.
