Hi,, well Hubby is in his last 2 weeks of training swift did change there 4x4 to a 6x2,,and i'm glad!! I think its better to be out with a trainer then another newbie. Anyway,,I'm very proud of him,,and glad when he is all done. He likes it and that helps.Guess being in the military life for 15yrs, helps with the separations. The training pay sucks,,,lol. I got a for any swift driver that lives in florida,,,we would like to move to ocala, florida and i/we are wondering if that is a good move as far as getting loads to go home is concerned???Seems like with swift everything is happeneing in Memphis ,,so any ideas on how liveing in ocala would affect him??? Right now we live in alabama. I really love trucknet,,, someone is always willing to answer any questions and be helpful,,,Thanks to all of you. P.S..yes Hubby does turn of his CB,,,,,,,lol stay safe,,,,,,, Manny Answer: Best of luck. Let us know how it goes. Answer: Well Ocala is nicely located about 80 miles north of Tampa. Thats a good thing. Most companies that do hire from Florida stop at I4 in Tampa. Not much freight that comes out of the south. But lots that go into and come out of Tampa. Ocala is a good choice if you really must live in Florida. I have seen Swift at lots of customer locations in that area. Because they do have lots of business in the area it would be a good place to live. Always freight coming down here. Being north a little farther there's always freight leaving. Freight gets you home and back out again. Go luck to him and you. "There is just something about fresh winter snow and a river. The day is bright even if it is cloudy, the water is friendly even if it is cold and the fish are there even if they are not biting." Answer: Everybody gets a good laugh out of Swift but from what their drivers tell me, Swift makes a nice 'stepping stone' in life. Most people start with Swift and move on once they've got the experience. Waylon Jennings Answer: I belive Ocala is home of a Swift terminal. Probably would be one of the best places in Fla if you are driving for them. Just remember that most drivers stay just long enough to get some experience and then fly. Then you`ll be living in the worst state for freight. I spent three days in Tallahassee last winter waiting for a load with Swift. fishman Answer: i was looking on swift web page could not find anything on if they have a school or not? can someone tell me if they do? thanks Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
