Question:
Anyone know how good teaming is with the major carriers like Arrow, Roehl, Schneider and Celadom? Is it worth it considering you are spliting mileage with your friend that drives with you? Also, Can both drivers, drive 10 hours each?

I run team for an LTL carrier. We drive 5 on and 5 off. Some teams run 8&8 and others run 10&10 it's simply a teams preference and how the run lays out. If you run west coast you can run 8 or 10. It's kinda tough to run like that on short runs. We get paid a split on mileage, if we run 5,000mi a week we each get paid on 2500mi. at our pay rate.

I have teamed with Schnider. I drove tanks for them. We did great. They gave us loads before the solos. We also didn't have to sit. We would drop our load and snag a dif one to keep going. If you team you need to do it with some one you know.
If you think you know them now, you will really know them when you team. Your team mate will be your only freind. Some grow closed to their team mate then their wife. This can be a scary thought. I married my team mate. She was "just a good friend" when we got started. Her fiance, my cousin was not happy about this. If you do not have a team mate in mind. Stay with the solo.
