Question:
Anyone here drive for Roehl in the flatbad unit and if you do how many miles do you get per week average as a newbie. Also, What is the road test like and what does it consist of....Backing, city driving???

I was in the van division. Over a 4 month period October-January I averaged 2200 miles.
Road test: you drive thru Marshfield then come back to the yard do a back, couple and uncouple, your done! By the time you finish with your trainer you will have no problem! Learn the [URL=http://www.smith-system.com/default. htm]Smith System[/URL] (space management, 5 keys) and apply it! The first few blocks or so you will have to "verbalize" as you drive, ie.. identify hazards, I see a stale green light and stuff.
When you get to orientation you will practice on the range, then take a road test to see what you know. Then out with a trainer. When you get done with Phase 1, you will take the final road test!
Perfect score is 155, feels great to ace it, plus they give you and the trainer a nice long sleeved blue jean shirt! Mine fits me great!
