reckless driving
Question:
i got shoot down by usxpress this moring.but cr england said i was in at there school.the reckless driving was in march 2001.everyone else turn me down over the r/d but england.can anyone tell me why they would take me? thanks Answer: 1. CRE standards are very low. 2. Their main deal is to trick drivers into their lease/purchase scam. 3. They are a "butt in the seat" company. 4. With that on your driving record, they know they have you at a disadvantage. You are likely to stay as you have no other viable choice. Daytripper "We have met the enemy, and he is us." pogo Answer: Two reasons: (1) If you get through their school, and you will whether you can drive or not, you will then owe them for the school. (2) England has an incredibly high driver turnover rate; if you can fill a seat for few months, you'll make them some money. If you don't pay for the school, they'll destroy your credit rating. If no one else will hire you because of your driving record, they've got you over a barrel. Answer: the reckless driving was in 2002 not 2001 sorry about that. im 31 years old so should i wait 2 more years or will i be to old at 33 to get in too a company that offers training or go with cr england.dont know what to do here but i know i want to drive.and im ready to get started..thanks Answer: As long as you can pass the DOT physical, age is no hindrance. If you go with England, you're going to be stuck there (or with a similar bottom-dwelling carrier)for a couple of years based on your driving record. A better option, in my opinion, would be to wait until your MVR clears up before looking for a driving job. In the meantime, you might want to think about a non-company driving school such as offered by many community colleges though there's no point in obtaining your CDL before you're eligible to be hired by a somewhat more reputable company. BOL. Answer: But I am willing to bet that it will take between 5 and 10 years (maybe longer) before the reckless driving conviction drops off your MVR. By the way. Was your liscence suspended for any length of time with that conviction? If so that is adding to your woe's. My suggestion to you is that you work on getting your MVR cleaned up, and once it is cleaned up that you guard it, protect it, cherish it, and then if you still want to drive the big trucks then start applying. As stated earlier age is not that big of factor in the trucking industry. There are many 40 and 50 year olds who enter the field every day. I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. Answer: my liscence was not suspended..but i have looked on some of the company web pages.and most of them soy no reckless driving in the past 3 years. but star trans. turn me down over a reck i had in 1999 that i was not at falt..so im just tring to get in the trucking world some where..someone out there will let me in if i keep tring..refuse to give up...thanks for all the advice...and im open for more & any ya'll can give Answer: The fact that you refuse to give up is the main thing. Where are you located at? Answer: south carolina (upper state).is where im at.. Answer: Have you tried Werner? Being a self-insured company, they are sometimes a bit more lenient than some others. It's not really the trucking company that has a problem with your MVR, it's their insurance carrier. Good luck! I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane. Waylon Jennings Answer: thanks...can anyone tell me anything good/bad about werner. all this world needs is a few more rednecks.... (charle daniels) Answer: i know im worse than a kid.but dose werner offer traing for cdl? Answer: (5pgs)Past Posts about Werner(click here) Answer: Werner will pay for your schooling through an approved truck driving school, then you owe them for that once you finish. Basically, you sign a contract to work for Werner for one year. Then they send you out with a trainer for 6-8 weeks. But my advice is to talk with a recruiter and fill out an application. I have worked for Werner, but I am not entirely sure if they will accept you with the reckless driving or not. True, they are self-insured, but it is really their call. Answer: stuff stays on your MVR. Stuff I had back in 1991 is still on there. Now it takes three years for my insurance to "go down" because of traffic convictions. Unfortunately my insurance bill goes up every year! Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
