Given the choice between Comdex and CES (Consumer Electronics Show) I'd pick CES any day....being more of a gadget freak myself you will get all you can handle at CES without all of the networking and related booths you will find at Comdex. Both are great shows, don't get me wrong, but I found CES to be much more worthwhile.
Bring a comfortable pair of shoes, you'll be on your feet a lot!
