Question:
Wish me luck. I feel pretty well prepared, but I'd still rather be lucky than good.
Assuming that I pass (big assumption) I'll be off to Werner orientation in Allentown, PA on Monday. Exciting weekend, eh?

Still doing the seminar thing and comparing companies. So far, I've been cleared for hire by the six I submitted applications to. Out of all of them, I'm leaning more towards ROEHL. All of them have good points but I setup a spread sheet to help compare them and so far ROEHL keeps coming out on top.....
Now, if the telco equipment company I work for, would just hurry up and lay me off , then I could get on with getting on....
Fortunately, I've been able to hang in there while going to school and it appears that we've been given some contracts for training that may keep me there for a little while longer..... Might keep me gainfully employed there for at least another six months....
Now, if I can just get the recruiter to show up on Fridays so I can take him out for a "business luncheon."

Just do not wait too long before getting started with a company. Your prehires might disappear for good if too much time passes.

Thanks uturn.. You're absolutley 100% on the mark as usual. I'd already thought of that and hopefully it won't be too long. I did ask all the companies what their limits were between graduation and requiring a refresher. Most of them were 90 to 180 days. Makes perfect sense.
I've made arrangements with the school I attended to go back for a road and track refresher every thirty days if needed. Normally a full day and they sign off on some sort of certificate. Not the very best solution but one that will keep my new skills at least luke warm...
Now who was that O/O that was looking for a weekend team driver? LOL.....
