Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

I am a newbie again
Question:
Well finished my first week in the end dump business this week. So far I can say everything that annoyed me about hauling freight, does not exist doing this job. It does offer a hole new range of challenges however that I am looking forward to overcoming. Will be home everynight to see my baby daughter grow up and work for a company that the owner knows my name and am no longer be just a statistic. Another good thing is I make more$$. I had planned on going to work for a nice Union company but decided I did not want to wait 10-15 years for a good slot and union jobs are actually are difficult to come-by in my commuting range.

Answer:
Is not so much the job or the money, but if you are happy or not. Hope it ends up being everything you want and need and are happy doing it.
I will always be a mutter trucker at heart.
Answer:
Good for you. I pulled an end dump for about a year and it really isn't that bad. It can get a little boring going to the same places all the time but you'll get use to it. I do know the home time can't be beat and no living exspenses like OTR.
Best of luck and hope it works out.
