Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

City streets and 2 lane roads.
Question:
Almost every vehicle that pulls out of a side road in front of you, will go less than a 1/4 mile and turn left,so don't run up on their butt, because that left signal will come on
--------------------------------
Rural 2 lanes, the average slow poke is just going to the next town,so why take the risk of passing the jerk, when they will be out of you way in a few minutes. You will live going 52mph or whatever behind them for a few minutes.
In 1962 President John Kennedy was the first president to send Congress a transportation message recommending a cutback in regulation of surface freight transportation.

Answer:
Yeah, what Zigzag says!
One exception though......9 times out of 10, the vehicle that pulled out in front of you will NOT use their turn signal and they will wait until the last second to hit their brakes enough to slow down for the turn.
Just back out of it and keep your safe following distance.

Oops.....double post.

Answer:
....or.....if they put on their signal, it might mean they're NOT going to turn... Never believe it till you see it happen.
On Urban highways it also helps to look at the type of truck. If it's a big pick-up hauling a trailer with shovels and barrells, for eample, it's probably not on a very long trip - just a couple miles to the next work location. Same for smaller step-trucks or little delivery trucks. They just use the freeway to get from one part of town to another. hang back and se what happens, before making elaborate plans to pass them.....just as they take the next exit...

What Zigzag said;
52 or so won't kill you. Trying to get around and hammer down might.

I've been running several SW Florida back roads for a few weeks now. All I can say is forget about it. Slow down put a cd in and relax. It will be over soon.
I've done the pass and slow down thing and it really is pointless. Once you get past one there will be another going just as slow a 1/4 mile ahead of them. It is true. Almost all will pull off in the next small town. Very few ever go the same way I am.
I will point out that you have to be careful because those folks live in that area. Most don't like trucks climbing up their rear end and will do crazy things like tap the brake to slow you down or slow down even more..
Also Grandma or Grandpa are not going to move out of the way. If their in the left lane that's where they will stay until they get ready to exit. If their going slow their not going to speed up. Find a way around them or relax til their gone. Scarring them and trying to push them will only make them slow down more. They just are not going to move.

I'm amazed how many drivers haven't caught onto that fact after years of driving.Bust their balls and they are going to bust yours right back and go a little slower.

You know, it really is better to relax a bit while driving. Think about it; most other people are not getting paid for the miles they are putting in and you are. At least I HOPE you are!
