Decision Time
Question:
I live in Stockton, Ca. and I graduated from Central Tech out in Drumright, OK. on Friday. I selected Central Tech largely because of research that I did here on this forum. This is a valuable source of information for a wet behind the ears newbie like myself. I thank all who post here. Its time to go to the well again, I decided to pay for my own school so I would graduate not oweing anything to anybody and hopefully have several carriers to pick from, well, you know what they say, be careful what you wish for you may get it. I guess because my record is clean and I had good grades at Central Tech all five carriers that I applied to have approved my application. Now I have to make an important decision with very little information to base that decision on. The five carriers are Werner, Freymiller, KLLM, Southern Refrigerated Transport and Crete. They all sound pretty good up front because as we all know, recruiters are a very truthfull and honest bunch. So I need your help once again, whats the word on the street about these guys? What are the advantages and disadvantages of refer companies? Is there another good company that I should consider? I would like to avoid using the scientific selection process of eeny meeny miny moe if at all possible. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might offer. P.S. Central Tech was well worth the money and the drive out there. Answer: You should make a list of what is important to YOU, and then rank that list from most to least important. Be very honest with yourself on what you want from a trucking company. Next go through that list and mark down what each company has to offer you and the one that comes closest to offering you everything you want should be the one for you to go with. (As far as pay look at the pay rates not just for training, but up through the 1st year) Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
