Question:
Need to know roughly milage rate for solo and team drivers. And what extras are paid by Employers in your Country.Just curious and all answers will be appreciatted,a good cross section of different companies milage rates would be great. OVERNIGHT EVERYNIGHT BUT NOT TONIGHT Answer: it's such a wide spreed the numbers will be all over the place from lows near .25 censt per mile to union wages around .50 cents per mile I would guess most nonunion drivers that operate trucks with sleepers and have a few years experiance would fall into the .32 to .38 cents per mile range, note I said guess loads that have extra stops can pay extra to the driver, again wages are all over the place $10.00 to around $25.00 per extra stop,my guess unloading pay, again all over the place I'v seen $40.00 to $130.00 and other probably have seen all sorts of other numbers,my experiance was about $85.00 to unload a truck with the company I drove for most of the time. some companies will pay detention time for waiting at docks, the time limit can start at one to 4 hours and than they start paying waiting time, others find all sorts of reasons not to pay,I'v had drivers tell me they get it and rattle off all sorts of numbers.I'v had drivers tell me all sorts of things over the years, many things I latter found out weren't true.I'v experianced very little success in getting much detention pay myself. Layover pay is another thing that does exsist,in most cases it doesn't take effect untill you have been stuck someplace for over 24 hours without a load and at most companies,it amounts to no more than lunch money for the day.all sorts of different companies have different policies and weasle out of it in many cases. as you can see I'm not able to give you a firm answer to your question, thus the reason nobody else replied Answer: http://www.cretecarrier.com/crete/drivers/DriverSpecsView As a Company driver, you will be paid $80.00 per day if the layover is an operational issue other than freight availability provided, however you have brought the layover issue to the attention of the Operations Department managers and secured their approval. --------------------- what the above means is beyond me Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
