Internet on the road.
Question:
I was wondering how far the internet has gone..I know you can hook up satelite dishes, aim them and program where you are when your parked on the road for television. And there are GPS navigational systems,if i remember correctly reading them on this thread, they work great.I know that the internet is becomming bigger on cellphones (I still dont think the phones have complete access)My question, can a driver get complete access yet from within his truck,is there any technology that advanced? Answer: Past Posts about OTR Internet Access(click here) Answer: Thanks for the Links choclit. Answer: I know a few people who use the wireless aircards from Sprint, Verizon, etc. Usually 99.00 per month for unlimited access, plus whaever you pay for your ISP. I am one of those people who are unfortunate enough to use AOL. I figured that with as many numbers they have I'll just be able to make a local call from the truck stops/restaurants. WRONG........... Most won't allow a local call from the phones at the booths or the data ports. Answer: Most won't allow a local call from the phones at the booths or the data ports. That's Correct....You Need an 800#.(most ISPs have 800#s that you can get...for an Extra Charge, of course.) Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
