I feel that you will get Better Straight Forward Answers to your questions if you go to www.pumpkindriver.com Yes, there are few drvrs here at TruckNet, that has/have signed on with SNI, but I feel that going to the Pumpkinn Site & Asking questions wouldn't hurt. Answer: Nothing against the Pumpkin site,Choclit Snda, but I checked it already and there is a lot of yady yady ya and nothing straight to THE POINT. "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?" Answer: Bornfree, I am going throught the training as I write this, I am also CDL licensed, so if you have a question, you may e-mail me and I will give you cell number that you can call me or go to pumpkin.com and follow my thread "Made it to Charlotte". But IMO opinion, as I grew up in a trucking family, SNI has a very good training program. But like I said e-mail me and I will give you a number to call me directly - after school of course. Rowdy PS: My e-mail is Rowdy1964@msn.com Pumpkin Drivers Rule!! [This message was edited by Rowdy7 on May 04, 2003 at 22:50.] Answer: choclit snda, Thank you for refering to the other web site, though they may not like what they are reading, most of us on the orange page do try and tell all the truth as we see it. I do post on both boards as this board is not one company view minded. Have a good one choclit snda and keep the shiny side up at all times. Rowdy Pumpkin Drivers Rule!! Answer: Rowdy/Linda,I must say "Made it to Charlotte" is a darn good post, informative also.Keep it up and GOOD LUCK.God bless you both! "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?" Answer: I am a former Schneider driver. Their training is excellent; but, really fast paced. They have a well deserved reputation for safety. . Once you are on your own, expect to get a COE(cab over engine) for 6 months maybe longer. Schneider is slowly getting rid of all the COE's. I heard they are being shipped to Mexico. I had a COE when I started -- Detroit 60 series motor and a 10 speed, the same as the newer Freightliners, that ran well. Speed is governed at 62 mph. . All these companies operate on very small profit margins. Schneider as most companies keeps tractors for quite a while but maintains them well. You can expect to start out in an older but servicable unit. Like most things in life, it is the luck of the draw. You could get a peach or you could get a lemon. Hey, even a new car can be a lemon. . One major advantage to Schneider besides training is their freight base. It is huge and that allows you to keep you moving. . As with any company, your dispatcher(STL) can make or break your experience with the company. You need to have a good working relationship. Be clear about what you want and expect. Understand what they want and expect. Answer: Well to all of you that have posted something about the ? Bornfree asked about the training, Thank you! I am interveiwing with them tomorrow and hope to be in class very soon! Again thanks for all the positive input on Schneiders training course!
